What is asbestos remediation and who can do it?

Asbestos remediation must be carried out in order to demolish and remove constructions and devices that contain asbestos. At the same time, the surrounding constructions must be protected and measures must be taken to avoid exposing people to asbestos dust. Such measures contain e.g. the demolition object’s cleaning and setting up screens and covers for the transport of asbestos waste from the demolition object to the waste container.

Asbestos remediation also includes maintenance and service work on constructions in buildings and on ships where asbestos dust is released.
